Frummenty Recipe

Made on festive occasions
    
    1lb Wheat Berries
    1pt Milk
    5 oz Ground Almonds
    6 oz Chopped date, apricot, & raisins mixed
    Peel of 2 lemons
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    Sugar or honey to taste
    
Put wheat berries in a basin and cover with boiling water. Leave to stand in a warm place overnight, or until the wheat is soft (it should be crunchy, but not too hard). Drain the wheat and put in a pan with all the other ingredients except the fruit. Bring to the boil, and simmer for about 1/2 hour. Add finely chopped fruit.

Eat while still hot, with cream or honey taste.
